Cooking

HELLO, I'M GEORGIE...
And I’ve always believed that from moments of adversity great things can come....

Clinging to the shoestring that my student days had left me with, some friends and I began throwing ideas around over a pot of tea and some rather delicious dark chocolate and lavender muffins (even if I do say so myself). A suggestion emerged: Cook! Cook? Cook! With much excitement, some inspiration and a few nerves, a cooking career that was to draw upon a reputable gap year course and a gruelling ski season was set to begin. Where? Wandsworth. When? 2010. Christmas Day.

Luckily the job went well and on the snowy drive back to Gloucestershire, while reflecting on the moment of presenting the flaming Christmas pudding, stretching the starter to serving six extra guests (all prevented from reaching loved ones due to inclement weather), and being coerced into singing carols with wonderful clients around the piano, I decided that this particular style of catering really was for me.

I have a passion for food – that goes without saying – and take the craft of cooking very seriously. But what I enjoy most of all is creating an experience. This is why I focus on small scale events, rarely catering for more than 25 people. Without encroaching on their space and using complete discretion, I enjoy getting to know my clients so that I understand what’s going to make their event sparkle – from turning up on the doorstep clutching the tart for the evening’s pudding to sliding the last polished knife back into the cutlery drawer. Whether it’s a family holiday in the south of France, a shoot weekend in the British countryside or a crystal dinner party with impeccable standards, I’ll be happy to tailor a personal package to your needs.
